Two weeks and I’m free

Excitement builds

Ja! I peeked over and noted Ian’s blog password. My turn now!

I will be looking forward to two weeks from today, when he is finally gone from work and I can have the desk for myself, instead of being stuck in the corner, freezing cold.

Helga at work

It will also be a blessing for his fellow workers at Agriculture Victoria Services. For two years now, and more, they have to listen day on day to his talk on barges. Ach mein Gott it is tedious! Then they can get on with their important work, and I can have quiet time to myself for five weeks. Bliss!

Too bad for you others, you will have to follow all the details. If you are lucky, perhaps Lisette, when not at the helm, will write you something interesting.

Here he comes, late as usual, the lazy boy …

  1. Ian you are a riot.

Looking forwards to reading the bog.

We will try to keep Helga in check while you are away 🙂

  2. This seemed appropriate…

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

  3. And I arranged for that lovely shawl to keep you warm Helga – I’d expect a bit more respect!

Anyhow, thanks for the comments, and a great quote Elisse – Twain always has a great turn of words.

Riposte from H. D. Thoreau “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.”

  4. Hi, thank you for also popping over to my blog. I have just spent a lovely hour reading up on you and I look forward to following your adventures. My blog simpleveganliving is mainly about food and reducing our impact on the world (passions of mine). My main blog about the renovations of our barge, life on a barge and general snippets of my life are at fran-bonnieofclyde.blogspot.co.uk
Great to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you. Enjoy your travels on the water xxxx
